The carpooling and ridesharing market in Lebanon saw interesting trends in Q1 2022. Here's a look at the performance of the top five apps on the Android platform, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Bolt: Request a Ride, from Bolt Technology, showed a consistent increase in weekly downloads. Starting at 1.2K downloads in late December, the app reached 2K by the end of March. Weekly active users also saw a steady climb, beginning at approximately 7.4K and peaking at around 8.8K in the final week of March.

inDrive. Save on city rides, published by ® SUOL INNOVATIONS LTD, witnessed a dramatic surge in weekly downloads, particularly from mid-February onwards. Downloads spiked from 3.6K to 5.5K by the end of the quarter. The number of weekly active users mirrored this trend, rising from about 3.7K to 7.8K over the same period.

Uber - Request a ride, from Uber Technologies, Inc., experienced a moderate increase in weekly downloads, moving from 513 to 811 downloads between late December and early March. However, weekly active users saw a slight decline, starting at 33.2K and dropping to 30.3K by the end of March.

Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver, also from Uber Technologies, Inc., had fluctuating download numbers throughout the quarter, peaking at 476 downloads in mid-March before dropping to 257 by the end of the month. Weekly active users showed a general upward trend, increasing from 766 to 998 during the quarter.

Careem – rides, food & more, by Careem, saw steady weekly download numbers, ranging from 185 to 437 throughout Q1. The weekly active user count remained relatively stable, starting at 7.1K and ending at around 6.7K by the end of March.
